Users enter data into any number of different electronic forms held on a PDA rather than filling in conventional paper-based forms. Since data is stored electronically at the point of entry, the need for information to be subsequently keyed in by the users back in the office is removed. The data is instead synchronised seamlessly to a centralised relational SQL database at the push of a button.
